Leader Duties and Responsibilities
The leader is the face of the clan. They are responsible for making decisions, and they dictate the clan's personality. An overly aggressive leader = an overly aggressive clan.
Duties:
1) The leader is responsible for appointing a deputy. According to the warrior code, this must happen before moonhigh following the old deputy's death/retirement.
2) The leader is responsible for deciding what measures to take to protect the clan. For example, the course of action taking when evidence of prey-stealing is found.
3) The leader carries out ceremonies such as the warrior, apprentice and elder ceremonies.
4) The leader speaks for the clan at gatherings.
5) The leader's word is the warrior code, so be careful what you say.
Deputy Duties and Responsibilities
The deputy supports the leader and carries out duties. He/she is the cat that organises the day to day running of the clan. They are second in command, and are chosen by the leader to be their sucessor.
Duties:
1) The deputy is responsible for organising patrols. We will share a google document with you that contains the patrol table found under the news page of each clan. There must be at least two patrols a week. Changing the patrols on the document will change them on the site.
2) If a Clan leader is temporarily unable to lead a clan the deputy may in his/her place. Eg. if leader is away.
3) If the leader dies, the deputy will travel with the medicine cat to the mooncave to receive their nine lives.
4) Upon death, promotion or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be selected before moonhigh.
Medicine Cat Duties and Responsibilities
Medicine cats treat injury or illness, and are very valued within the clan. Medicine cats also interpret signs from BlizzardClan.
Duties:
1) The medicine cat stays apart from clan rivalry, and assists everyone, no matter the clan.
2) The medicine cat is responsible for delivering kits, and treating illness/injury.
3) Medicine cats may not have a mate or have kits.
4) Medicine cats visit the mooncave every half-moon to share tongues with BlizzardClan.
5) Medicine cats intrpret prophecies and omens, and share them with the clan leader.
6) Medicine cats must know basic battle training in case they are in danger
7) Medicine cats must know and store all useful herbs.
8) Medicine cats must train an apprentce who will be their sucessor.
